В прилагаемой статье содержится глава из книги о новом священномученнике Петре митрополите Крутицком (+1937), готовящейся к печати в московском Православном Свято-Тихоновском Гумманитарном Университете. Святитель Петр (Полянский) возглавлял Русскую Православную Церковь с 1925 по 1937 гг. и через поминовение своего имени объединял, как тех, кто признавал, митрополита Сергия (Сергия Страгородского), так и тех прекратил с ним церковное общение в России и за границей.
From the Editor: I am posting a chapter from a book by Fr. Alexander Mazyrin of Orthodox St.Tikhon University for the Humanities (PSTGU) about the new holy martyr Metropolitan Peter Polianskii (d. 1937), “Priest Alexander Mazyrin (Moscow, PSTGU): Patriarchal Locum Tenens Metropolitan Peter and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia.” This book will soon be published by PSTGU Press. This chapter investigates Metropolitan Peter’s attitude toward the Russian Church Abroad. Saint Peter led the Russian Orthodox Church from 1925 to 1937, and the commemoration of his name at divine services in the homeland and in diaspora unified those who recognized the authority of Metropolitan Sergius (Stragorodskii) and those who had ceased ecclesiastical communion with him.
